Mission District Condos Remain Hot, Prices Push Higher

With a seller’s market in full effect (read: lots of buyers from the tech industry, low mortgage interest rates, and a minimal number of properties for sale) condo prices in the Mission District pushed higher during February. The average sale price easily exceeded the $1 million price threshold.

Last month eleven (11) condos traded hands at an average sale price of $1,210,292. The pace of sales was lighting quick during February. Properties closed in an average of only 20 days.

Six of the eleven sales were in a 9-unit building at 3133 24th Street. This building was recently converted from commercial use to residential. It was formerly a parking garage and auto repair shop. Post conversion, which included a seismic retrofit, the building was divided into 9 loft-style floor plans and one ground floor retail space.
