Condo sales in Dolores Heights slowly came back to life during February from the year-end holiday hibernation. Six sales were completed last month (this compares with only four sales completed during December and one sale during January).
Little has changed in the market from the tail-end of 2013. Mortgage interest rates remain attractive in the low to mid 4% range, the inventory of homes for sale is still very limited, and elevated prices persist.
Last month the average sale price for a condo in Dolores Heights came in at an impressive $1,162,707. With pent up buyer demand due to the year-end slowdown, the pace of sales was very quick. The condos that traded hands during February were on the market for an average of only 13 days before going under contract.
