Loft style floor plans are currently en vogue in the Mission District. Last month 10 condos traded hands in this neighborhood and 7 of them were split-level lofts. Almost all of the loft sales were in modern buildings constructed after 2000.
The average sale price during September came in at $974,000. With the pinched inventory of homes for sale and the number of active buyers easily outpacing the number of sellers, condos in the Mission District are selling quickly. The condos that sold last month were on the market for an average of 34 days before going under contract.
