Newer built condos a popular choice in the Mission District

With the steady influx of tech employees migrating to the Mission District, newer built condos remained a popular choice among buyers during May. Last month 13 condominiums traded hands in the Inner Mission neighborhood. 11 of the 13 sales were in buildings constructed after 1997. Four of these sales were loft style floor plans (1800 Bryant St #103, 633 Hampshire St #4, 2711 18th St #9, and 1800 Bryant St #106).

Sellers remained in the driver’s seat as buyers competed for the limited number of condos offered for sale. Almost all of the condos that sold during May traded above their respective list price. The average sale price was $896,038. These properties sold relatively quickly spending an average of 32 days on the market before going under contract.
