During the month of January, five (5) single-family homes sold in the Noe Valley neighborhood of San Francisco. With the number of homes for sale in short supply, plenty of buyers in the marketplace, and cheap loans available prices continued to move up. The average sale price last month was an impressive $1,929,300 – the highest average price recorded in the last five months.
The January sales included the “skateboarders dream home” at 264 Clipper Street. This home was purchased by Clair Bigbie and her partner Jay Shapiro in 2009 for roughly $1.3 million. This skateboarding duo intended to install an empty pool in the backyard of the house but their plan did not pan out due to noise consideration for the neighbors. Alternatively, they hired Envelope Architecture and Design to renovate the home and enlisted Flora Grub to landscape the backyard. The results were impressive, check it out here.
The home at 4147 26th Street was sold as a fixer-upper.
