Noe Valley condo prices increase for 5th consecutive month

The upward trend in condo prices continued during the month of May in the Noe Valley neighborhood of San Francisco. Last month, ten condominiums traded hands at an average sale price of $1,043,850. Fueled by all-time low mortgage interest rates coupled with buyer demand that is clearly outpacing the supply of condos for sale, prices were up for the 5th consecutive month. Transactions are occurring at a rapid pace. The condos that sold last month were on the market for an average of 36 days before attracting a buyer and going under contract. With multiple bidders commonplace, eight of the ten properties that closed during May sold at or above their respective list price. All were conventional sales, i.e., no short sales or foreclosures.
