On May 26, 2011, the San Francisco Planning Commission approved the development of a five-story mixed-use project on the site of a former gas station at the northeast corner of Valencia and 20th Street. This building will include 18 condominiums and three ground floor retail spaces.
The approval process of 899 Valencia Street has been in the works for over 5 years and began shortly after the gas station closed in 2004. This project received wide support from area residents and the Liberty Hill Neighborhood Association.
The condominiums at 899 Valencia Street will include ten (10) three bedroom flats and eight (8) three bedroom townhouses with private roof decks. The average condo size will be roughly 1,400 square feet. The storefront retail spaces of this project will total about 9,600 square feet. This building will also house a basement-style parking garage with 18 spaces.
Construction of 899 Valencia Street will employ eco-friendly green building techniques and should be completed within the next 18 months. This development is anticipated to have a positive impact on the neighborhood.RELATED CONTENT
